Stephanie Scavelli began studying yoga in 2002 when she was a nationally competitive youth athlete. Growing through life she has deepened her yoga practice into an integrative Mind-Body experience.
Stephanie graduated from Yoga Medicine Teacher Training in 2016 with a 200-hour certification. Her passion is to create space for students to experience their own immense power to self-soothe and to take joy in being fully alive. Her teaching style is most notably influenced by her time studying biomechanics and flow sequencing with internationally renowned instructor Tiffany Cruikshank (Los Angeles, CA) and practicing under Ellen Foreman at PranaMoon (Peekskill, NY).
Stephanie is a lifelong practitioner of herbalism with training from Connecticut’s School of Herbal & Energetic Studies and she learned to safely forage with the Connecticut Westchester Mycological Association. Prior to becoming a yoga instructor Stephanie earned a degree in Environmental Science at SUNY Purchase. Nowadays Stephanie’s yoga teachings embody ahimsa and striving to do good with this lifetime.
